DYLON celebrated 50 years in the dye business in 2006. In 2008 they were going through a rebranding and repackaging exercise that required a shiny new website to compliment the new look. This consumer facing site needed to show the huge variety of DYLON products in all their colourful glory, as well as provide helpful hints and tips on using the products – and a way to help the user feel at ease with making their colour choice.

The new DYLON branding gave the site direction, but a splash of javascript and flash really brought the site to life. Users could choose a scene and colour it with DYLON dyes, get explanations of all the terminology and learn more about how to make the most out of colour. Add this to the comprehensive product pages and a CMS allowing DYLON to add even more and you get a very colourful site indeed.
